7-Day Rongai Route Trek – Kilimanjaro Climb

Overview

The 7 Days Rongai Route Trek is one of the most scenic and least crowded ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Approaching the mountain from the northern side near the Kenyan border, the Rongai Route offers a quieter trekking experience, gradual elevation gain, and excellent opportunities for acclimatization, making it one of the most successful routes to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m).

Unlike the busier southern routes, Rongai passes through remote wilderness, lush rainforest, open moorlands, alpine desert, and rugged mountain landscapes before joining the Marangu Route for the descent. The extra day on this itinerary provides additional time for acclimatization, increasing your chances of a successful summit while allowing you to fully appreciate the mountain's breathtaking scenery.

This route is ideal for both first-time climbers with good fitness and experienced trekkers looking for a peaceful and rewarding Kilimanjaro adventure
